A recent Reddit post sparked a wave of nostalgia as players shared their favorite deleted VALORANT features. One of the most popular mentions was Cypher’s infamous camera bug, also known as the ‘Cypher Turret.’ This bug allowed players to surprise their enemies with a hidden, infinite-ammo weapon in the camera. It was both hilarious and frustrating for those on the receiving end.
Jett’s old kit also received several mentions. Players recalled her having three lingering smokes, two updrafts, an instant dash, and powerful blades that acted like shotguns. Other notable mentions included Chamber’s teleportation ability, Reyna’s four soul orbs, Killjoy’s active abilities after death, Breach and Skye’s three flashes, Omen’s glitchy teleport moves, and more.
But it wasn’t just agent features that players missed. Two popular game modes, Snowball Fight and Replication, were also mentioned. Snowball Fight involved throwing snowballs at enemies using a Brimstone Incendiary-like launcher, while Replication allowed teams to have multiple players playing the same agent.
Unfortunately, these features and game modes were eventually removed or fixed for the sake of VALORANT’s competitive integrity. While they provided moments of fun and chaos, they ultimately disrupted the balance of the game.
As much as players long for the return of these lost features, it’s important to remember that VALORANT has come a long way since its early days. The current version of the game offers a more refined and balanced experience, ensuring fair and competitive gameplay for all.
So let’s take a moment to appreciate the memories of the past, but also embrace the evolution of VALORANT as it continues to grow and improve.
