Team Secret, one of the biggest names in Dota 2, has made some major changes to their roster for the upcoming 2024 season. After a disappointing performance at The International 2023 and ESL One Kuala Lumpur, the team has decided to bid farewell to Yeik “MidOne” Nai Zheng and welcome a new talent into the mid lane.

MidOne’s departure comes as a surprise, considering he had just returned to Team Secret in late 2023 after a successful stint with OG and Team SMG. Now, the veteran player finds himself without a team as the new season approaches.
Stepping into MidOne’s shoes is Teng “Kordan” Tjin Yao, a 21-year-old rising star from Singapore. Although relatively unknown compared to his predecessor, Kordan has already made a name for himself in the Southeast Asian Dota scene. He led Bleed Esports to victory in the Dota Pro Circuit Tour Three, defeating top teams like Blacklist International and Execration.
Joining Kordan is Marcel “Ekki” Hołowienko, who returns to Team Secret as the support player. Ekki previously held the assistant coach role at Secret before exploring other opportunities. With his experience and skills, Ekki is expected to bring a fresh perspective to the team.
Despite the roster changes, expectations for Team Secret remain low. However, with the recent shake-ups in other teams and the start of the ESL Pro Tour, this could be the perfect opportunity for Puppey and his underdog side to make a surprising comeback.
