Before the event, some of the participating VTubers had already announced their plans to play Dota 2, building anticipation among their fans. One of the streamers, Ceres Fauna, even did a practice stream to prepare for the event, despite not having played the game in years.

Once the game started, chaos ensued. Even though some of the VTubers had experience with other MOBAs like League of Legends, the gameplay quickly devolved into hilarious madness. Kobo Kanaeru, in particular, brought the classic Southeast Asian Dota spirit, claiming the mid lane and playing with high ping. Koseki Bijou also added to the chaos with her own SEA energy, showcasing her chat skills and even achieving a Rampage.

Over 31,000 viewers across five streams tuned in to watch the VTubers learn—or relearn—Dota 2 in real-time. The stream was filled with laughter as the group of friends tried to figure out which items to buy, how abilities worked, and sought advice from their chat. Despite spending most of their games playing from behind, the VTubers and their viewers had a blast, sparking nostalgia within the Dota community.

This collaboration not only entertained fans but also served as great advertising for a more casual approach to Dota 2. It showed that you can simply group up with friends and have fun in unranked or bot matches. The hope is that this event will attract new players to the game, especially if big streamers from outside the Dota space follow suit and play the game on their streams.

As the stream came to an end, viewers expressed their desire for future collaborations like this. Perhaps the Dota 2 community’s own VTuber, sheepsticked, will join in the fun next time.

Get ready for more chaos, laughter, and nostalgia as VTubers continue to explore the world of Dota 2.
