In a recent interview with COD content creator Repullze, Sledgehammer Games senior development Director Adam Iscove hinted at upcoming weapon balancing changes for MW2 guns during Season One. Little did we know that these changes would extend to Warzone as well.
The Season One Reloaded update has brought significant improvements to the STB-556. Its maximum damage range has increased by a staggering 100%, from 15.2 to 30.5 meters. Not only that, but the near-medium damage range has improved by 34%, and the medium damage range has seen a 16% boost. These changes have transformed the previously overlooked weapon into a formidable contender in MW3.
But the surprises don’t end there. CoD stat source Warzone Meta recently tested the STB-556 and confirmed that the weapon buffs also apply to the battle royale mode. With its incredibly easy-to-control recoil pattern and fast time-to-kill speed, the STB-556 has become one of Warzone’s best sniper support weapons.
Warzone Meta is now eager to test other MW2 weapons to see if they too have received secret improvements. Keep an eye out for the Victus XMR, Kastov 74-u, Tempus Razorback, and Kastov 762, as they could potentially be the next hidden gems in Warzone.
