The Road to Glory
IEM Katowice 2024 is divided into three stages: Play-In, Group Stage, and the Playoffs. A total of 24 teams will battle it out for the coveted trophy, but only six will have the honor of playing in front of the roaring crowd at Spodek Arena in February.
The Play-In stage features 16 teams competing in a double-elimination bracket. These teams have earned their spot in IEM Katowice thanks to their outstanding performance in their respective regions. Eight teams will emerge victorious from the Play-In bracket and join the eight invited squads in the Group Stage.
In the Group Stage, the remaining 16 teams will face off in another double-elimination bracket, with three teams from each group advancing to the Playoffs. The Playoffs will be a thrilling single-elimination bracket, where only the best of the best will survive and claim the Katowice trophy.
