In a brutal match, OG became the first team to be completely shut out on LAN in 2024, with Vitality dominating them with a 13-0 victory on Mirage.

Vitality’s star player, ZywOo, showed his MVP form from 2023 by racking up an impressive 17 kills in the one-sided match. The rest of the Vitality squad also performed exceptionally well, with four players reaching double-digit kills. The series ended with a 13-7 scoreline on Inferno, giving Vitality a clean 2-0 sweep.
OG’s struggles were further compounded by the absence of their coach, Casper “ruggah” Due, who couldn’t travel with the team due to family commitments. Without their veteran coach, OG faced an uphill battle against the reigning Major champions.
This disappointing start to 2024 is reminiscent of OG’s struggles in the previous year. The team faced consistent inconsistency and early exits in offline tournaments. The departure of key players, such as Mateusz “mantuu” Wilczewski and Nemanja “nexa” Isaković, had a lasting impact on the team’s performance.
Despite these setbacks, OG showed some promise in the qualifiers for the PGL Copenhagen Major EU RMR. They secured their spot in the main qualifier after defeating JANO, 3DMAX, and Nexus Gaming. While their performance wasn’t convincing, OG is now just three series wins away from qualifying for the Copenhagen Major.
OG’s next challenge comes in the form of a lower-bracket matchup against Falcons on January 23. Both teams are hungry for an offline win and will be looking to bounce back from their disappointing LAN debuts in 2024.
It’s clear that OG’s CS2 rebuild has hit a major roadblock, but the team still has a chance to turn things around. With determination and hard work, OG can overcome their recent struggles and make a comeback in the competitive CS2 scene.
