Iso’s Double Tap Upgrade
When Iso was introduced to VALORANT, players were thrilled by his ultimate ability that forces an enemy into a one-on-one duel. However, Iso’s popularity has been lackluster, with only a 1.9% pick rate. To make him more formidable in head-on duels, Riot Games has made some significant buffs to his Double Tap ability.
First, the shootable orb that drops on a kill will now last an extra second, giving players more time to deal with immediate threats before picking up their shield. Second, the duration of Iso’s E shield has been increased by five seconds. This change allows players to be more strategic in choosing their engagements while still taking advantage of the shield. Lastly, Iso’s E shield will have a smaller width, giving him the element of surprise when engaging enemies around corners.
Skye’s Nerf
Skye has been a dominant force in VALORANT, especially with her flash ability, Guiding Light. This ability not only provides information on enemies but also recharges during a round. To balance her power, Riot Games has removed Guiding Light’s ability to recharge. Skye players will now need to be more selective in using her flash, making strategic decisions on when to initiate onto a site.
Additionally, Skye’s Seekers will now have a yellow directional indicator when they are getting closer to their target, making it easier for enemies to spot and counter them.
Conclusion
VALORANT Patch 8.01 brings exciting changes to the game, with buffs for Iso’s Double Tap ability and a nerf for Skye. These adjustments aim to enhance gameplay and create a more balanced experience for all players. Get ready to adapt your strategies and make the most of these changes in your VALORANT matches!
