Warzone players are frustrated with the inconsistent audio issues they are experiencing with the Flex perk. Designed to reduce combat noise and make it easier to hear enemy footsteps, the perk is not working properly. Currently, players can only use one tier-three perk at a time, making it a difficult decision. Ghost, which hides operators from UAVs, Portable Radars, and Heartbeat Sensors, has become a popular choice after the recent update. High Alert, which provides an alert when an enemy is looking in your direction, is also favored by many players. Some players even prefer using Birdseye, as it nullifies the Ghost perk’s effect and still reveals their location on UAVs.

Despite its potential usefulness, the Flex perk is not functioning as intended. Players have reported a lack of audio cues for enemy footsteps, even when the perk is equipped. While some players have noticed an improvement in hearing footsteps with the perk, others have encountered scenarios where they cannot hear footsteps at all. This inconsistency has frustrated the Warzone community.
Audio issues have been a recurring problem in Warzone, and the developers have attempted to address them in previous updates. The Season One Reloaded update reduced the volume of friendly slides, jumps, and lands to help players differentiate between friend and foe. The mid-season update also improved audio occlusion, making it harder for elements on the map to block audio. These changes were expected to improve the performance of the Flex perk, but players still believe that more work needs to be done.
Raven Software, the developer of Warzone, has promised additional audio changes in the future. However, it remains uncertain whether a fix for the Flex perk is included in those plans. Warzone players eagerly await a resolution to the audio issues that have been plaguing the game.
