Terapagos Bug Plagues Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Players in Online Tera Raids
Terapagos, the beloved Legendary Pokémon of Scarlet and Violet, has become the center of frustration for players in online Tera Raids. Since the release of The Indigo Disk DLC on Dec. 14, numerous players have reported being unexpectedly kicked out of Tera Raids while battling with Terapagos.

Players have shared videos on Reddit and Twitter showcasing the issue. Just as they were about to defeat the raid boss, all the Pokémon vanished, leaving their character alone for a few awkward seconds before being abruptly removed from the raid den without any explanation.
Initially, it may seem like a disconnection problem caused by someone in the raid. However, players believe that the bug is specifically related to Terapagos. Certain conditions, such as using the online feature or Terastallizing Terapagos, can trigger the bug. As a result, players are advising others to refrain from using the Legendary Pokémon for now.
This is particularly unfortunate because Terapagos is highly effective in Tera Raids. With the new Stellar Tera Type and Terapagos’ powerful Stellar Form, it can deal super-effective damage to all Tera Raid bosses using its signature move, Tera Starstorm. While other Pokémon can also Terastallize into the Stellar Tera Type, Terapagos is the only one with access to Tera Starstorm, which is a much stronger version of Tera Blast.
Therefore, Tera Raids are where Terapagos is meant to shine the brightest. However, due to the bug, players are unfairly losing raids when using Terapagos and are becoming discouraged from utilizing it until the issue is resolved.
It’s ironic that this bug affects Terapagos, the very source of Terastallization according to its Pokédex entry. The Legendary Pokémon’s unique gimmick and connection to Tera Types are unfortunately being overshadowed by this bug. While Tera Raids have always had their fair share of bugs and performance issues since the release of Scarlet and Violet, it is disheartening to see Terapagos, known as the “Tera Pokémon,” being excluded from the raids where it rightfully belongs.
Many bugs and performance issues in the Gen IX games have gone unfixed, but the Terapagos bug is one that should be addressed. Otherwise, it diminishes the usefulness of this Legendary Pokémon and leaves players feeling disappointed.
